QUESTION:  What do you get when you bring together 1,000+ pounds of turkey; 15 pans of stuffing; 40 large cans of corn; 60 pounds of coleslaw; 30 large cans of cranberries; 90 dozen dinner rolls; lots of mashed potatoes and gravy; gallons of beverages; hundreds of pies; 900+ diners; 150+ hours of prep, set up, shopping, and phone calling; 150+ volunteers; Auntie's Attic, and  12 craft tables?

ANSWER: One huge Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings; $4,000.00+ profit; a church community working together, and a lot of fun!

A sincere thank you to all the volunteers who made the Turkey Dinner a success. A special thank you to Loretta Witkowski and Bev Aplikowski for their advice and support. Thanks also to Bernice Bartz and her Auntie's Attic team and Joyce VanderWyst for coordinating the crafters.
We hope you had as much fun as we did, and we will see you again next year (4 November 2007). Leftover food  was donated to the Dorothy Day Center which provides meals, a food shelf, and medical care for the homeless and near homeless in the Twin Cities area. God Bless,

Theresa Cermak, Sharon Moenkhaus & Deacon Rod
