SINCE ST. JOHN'S BEGAN OFFERING Electronic Giving, almost 150 families have chosen to participate. Several members have told us how much they like the program for its convenience, especially when they are able to give even when they are out of town.

Perhaps Electronic Giving is for you? All you need to do is authorize an amount of your choice to be automatically deducted from your checking or savings account at intervals determined by you. Think about it. You can sign up for Electronic Giving at any time by completing an authorization form. Just call Miki at the Parish Office to enroll, (651) 633-8333, ext. 1239. Thank you!

Social Mission News

  • SJB FOODSHELF: M-W-F, 10-12, St. Joseph Hall.

  • NO Social Mission Board this week. We will reconvene in August.
  • Our Food for the Poor sister parish is African Martyrs of Uganda Church in Bull Bay, Jamaica. The community consists of 40 families on a hillside (There are approximately 70 individuals and 50 - 60 families total in the Bull Bay community.). Homes in Bull Bay are currently makeshift rooms made of scavenged materials, such as rusted pieces of corrugated steel used for roofing in Jamaica. These rooms have a dirt floor and no windows. With the tropical heat and humidity, these homes must be comparable to living inside an oven. They are used primarily for sleep and shelter from the elements.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

"Live with grateful hearts."

ST. JOHN'S GARDENS look wonderful! Our whole parish campus, inside and out, is beautiful. Thank you to the Garden Club, parishioner volunteers, and young adults from our youth ministry's Summer Stretch program. Everyone did a great job spreading mulch into our gardens.

PLEASE PRAY FOR...
