Pastoral Ministry News

  • PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING is once again available to St. John's adult parishioners on a no-cost basis on Tuesdays, between 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. For an appointment, call Teri  at (651) 633-8333, ext. 1210.
  • If you are interested in learning about the Befriender Ministry, or would like to be a part of training this fall, call Anne Marie or Judy and we will be happy to let you in on the good news, (651) 633-8333.
  • Thanks to all who continue their ministries during the summer months and find subs when needed.  This is ongoing and appreciated by those you serve.
  • MARK YOUR CALENDARS! St. John's Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, August 24. Please donate if you are able; thank you.

Social Mission News

  • SJB FOODSHELF: M-W-F, 10-12, St. Joseph Hall.
  • Saturday, July 15, is the quarterly gathering of Just Faith graduates from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon in Room 211. This is always a worthwhile morning.
  • Peace Coffee - Fair Trade: Building economic justice, supporting human rights, and caring for the earth.  We will be selling Peace Coffee next weekend.  Look for the Peace Coffee table in front of St. Joseph Hall.
  • On September 23/24, we will be highlighting our budding relationship with a sister parish in Jamaica. Food for the Poor is the agency which is working with us. Fathers Paul and Gene from Food for the Poor will be with us all weekend to celebrate liturgy and help us to learn more about our brothers and sisters in Bull's Bay, Jamaica. We will have ethnic food, music, and community-building. Please mark your calendars as a "sister parish" is a community wide commitment, and we want you to feel part of it.  Come and find out how you might be involved in this Social Mission across borders. Please pray for guidance in this ministry.
