"Above all, the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights... is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition of all other personal rights, is not defended with maximum determination."

FAMILY FUN RUN/WALK: Dust off your shoes, grease up those strollers, and prepare for our Annual Family 5K. On Saturday, September 16, at 8:00 a.m., we will assemble at the Ralph Reeder parking lot; race will began at 8:30 a.m. sharp. The course will start at Ralph Reeder, wind through the scenic Long Lake Regional Park, then finish down Old Highway 8 back to Ralph Reeder. Many of last year's participants commented on the "ease" and the "beauty" of the course, and many walkers enjoyed the early morning stroll with their families. We award prizes for the first male and female finishers. With your registration, you will receive a Fallfest 5K t-shirt. This event is for the entire family. Whether a walker or a runner, this event is for you! Call Mike Beck with questions, (651) 633-4980. Entry forms are in the St. Paul Plaza kiosks.

IF YOU DON'T already have a "volunteer job" for Fallfest 2006 and would like one, please print your name and telephone number below and leave it at the Welcome Desk. Thank you for making Fallfest a success.

JUST A NOTE to say "goodbye" to all parishioners and volunteer ministers whom I have worked with the past five years. I am leaving St. John's to pursue other opportunities in volunteer management. As your Shared Ministry Director & Hospitality Coordinator, I met and worked with many wonderful people. I will miss you all. Thanks for all you have done for me and for the parish. Keep up the good work. God Bless,
