Our warmest 'thank you' to all."    Sincerely,

Social Mission News

  • SJB FOODSHELF: M-W-F, 10-12, St. Joseph Hall.

  • During Fallfest, Peace Coffee will be sold and served all weekend. We will be selling tea, too. During October - December, we will be selling chocolate. Any of these items would be great gifts, with the added bonus of supporting Fair Trade products.

  • We are awaiting pictures from Food for the Poor that will be displayed at St. John's to get a little glimmer of what life is like at our sister parish in Bull's Bay, Jamaica. On the weekend of September 23/24, Fr. Paul Wilderotter and Gene Huszcza will be with us to help begin this new ministry. There will be Jamaican food for hospitality, Jamaican music after the 11:15 a.m. Mass, and opportunities to ask questions. Please help fund our work and meet our St. John's pilgrims who traveled to Jamaica last fall: Carole Beggs, Cary Becker, Sharon Hansen, and Katie Stennes. We hope more will plan their own pilgrimages!

  • On Saturday, December 2, we will have a Social Mission Retreat led by the Visitation Sisters from North Minneapolis. Invites will be sent to all who work on  social justice issues, however, anyone is welcome.  More details to come, but mark your calendars now.
