Perpetual Adoration

"Reception for Anne Marie Bartlett on Aug. 5; see inside."

OUR NEXT OPEN FALLFEST MEETING is on Thursday, August 2, at 7:00 p.m. in Room 211. Everyone is welcome. You bring the ideas, and we'll bring the candy…

BUILD IT, AND THEY WILL COME. Please meet in the Rectory Driveway on Wednesday, August 8, at 6:00 p.m. to build St. John's float for the Stockyard Days Parade. Free pop and snacks; everyone is welcome. Again, you bring the ideas, and we'll bring the candy…

SPEAKING OF CANDY, we need volunteers, junior high and up, who will hand out candy and Fallfest flyers next to St. John's float at the Stockyard Days Parade on Thursday, August 9, at 6:00 p.m. Please call Maurice if you can help, (651) 633-8333, ext. 1224. By the way, did I mention that there will be free candy…

PLEASE REMEMBER that the entire St. John's campus will be closed and locked at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, due to the Stockyard Parade activities.

FYI: We will have a Silent Auction in St. Paul Plaza at the Fallfest on Sunday, September 16, 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., so bring in all your "brand new stuff" now to the Parish Office. If you don't have any "brand new stuff," then bring in your neighbor's "brand new stuff." No rummage sale items! Questions? Call Patty, (651) 633-8333, ext. 1272.

Since the votive candles were installed in the Church in 1999, there have been no price increases. However, due to  the continued rising prices from our candle vender, we must raise our candle donations to keep up with inflation.

Also, our current large candles are encased in plastic liners, but these frequently catch on fire due to pieces of  lighting sticks getting stuck in the candles. To prevent this, we will be changing over to glass encased candles and replacing the wooden lighting sticks with thin wax tapers. Please be sure the tapers are extinguished before placing them back in their holders. New prices effective immediately (thank you!): A large 6-day candle is only $3 and a small 8-hour candle is only $1.
