Ministry Fair Weekend

COME JOIUS IN ST. JOSEPH HALL next weekend, September 8/9, and learn about all the wonderful ministries  at St. John's. Volunteers who work within these ministries will answer your questions. We will have delicious food, unique door prizes, and great entertainment. So stop in after Mass and see for yourself what vibrant ministries that St. John's has to offer for you and your family.

WE WILL BE READY on Tuesday, September 4, the first day of school, for the students at St. John's to begin their classes at 9:20 a.m. School dismisses at 3:55 p.m. Students should be in their rooms by 9:15 a.m.

WE ARE SURE that you will find this a rewarding year for your children. If you have any questions, please call (651) 633-1522, ext. 1118. We ask God's blessings for you and your family for this new school year.

VOLUNTEER SIGN UP: After all Masses in The Plaza    on Ministry Fair Weekend, September 8/9. We need you!

DID YOU RESERVE YOUR SEATS for The Shamrocks and Thistles Ball? Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis only. Tickets will be on sale in The Plaza on Ministry Fair Weekend, September 8/9, and brochures are already available in The Plaza kiosks (we take credit cards). We need volunteers! Call Barb at (651) 636-7109.

BJJYA!... is the heart of Fallfest, and we need cash donations to help pay for all the ingredients. Please mark an envelope with "Booya Donation," and place it in the Mass collection or mail it to the Parish Office. Thank you.

FARMERS' MARKET: We need you spare veggies, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, cabbages, etc. We also need  you pies, cookies, and breads of all kinds. And don't forget your green plants, annuals, and perennials; we need those, too! If you have any questions, please call Bernice at (763) 784-7889. Thank you.

BOTTLE BONANZA is back again. This Fallfest game will consist entirely of donations from the parish. Please fill jars and bottles with various "fun items" that would mostly appeal to children. Each bottle should be thoroughly washed clean and have a lid intact. The dollar amount on the contents of each bottle is left up to the discretion of the donor, but should be worth at least $1 and not to exceed $5. Examples: candy, coins/bills, small trinkets or toys, school and art supplies, holiday items, new socks, lottery "scratches," etc. Cost to play the game is $2 or 2 tickets. Call Mary Anne, (651) 633-8333, ext. 1220.

RING-A-POP is a Fallfest favorite, and we need donations of 2-liter plastic bottles of assorted non-alcoholic beverages. Please drop them off in the designated crates next to the entrances to the Parish Center. Please call Ann if you have any questions at (651) 604-9341.

A MANDATORY FALLFEST MEETING is on Thursday, September 6, at 7:00 p.m. in Room 204. If you want free candy, then it's mandatory...
